Born in the United States, Nicoletta Romeo holds a degree in Languages from Udine, Italy and then a Master's degree in Cinema and Multimedia Translation from Bologna, Italy. Cinema is her job and her passion: after coordinating for 7 years the Settimana Internazionale della Critica, an autonomous section of the Venice Film Festival, she collaborated with the Thessaloniki Film Festival and the Festival des 4 Écrans in Paris, for which she was artistic consultant. Since 1996 she has collaborated with the Trieste Film Festival as head of programming and became its co-artistic director since 2016, together with Fabrizio Grosoli. In 2012 she embarked on the adventure of film production, founding the company Mansarda Production, with which she co-produced the feature film "I Kóri" (The Daughter) by director Thanos Anastopoulos, which was selected in prestigious festivals around the world, including the Berlinale and Toronto. Other films produced by Nicoletta with her company include the documentary "The Last Beach" by Thanos Anastopoulos and Davide Del Degan, which was screened in 2016 at Cannes in the Official Selection-Special Screenings.
