Pier Nicola Currà

Architect

Passionate about eco-efficient architecture and project culture, Pier Nicola Currà earned his degree in Architectural Technology from the University of Bologna in 2012. He was awarded a scholarship with the environmental consultancy Natural Cooling Ltd in London, where he explored the UK market and enriched his architectural education through the AA School of Architecture and Westminster University. A certified LEED Green Associate and Passivhaus Tradesperson Trainer, he has worked on a wide range of projects, including residential developments, office complexes, and commercial and production spaces. His design approach seeks to blend technical pragmatism with conceptual and creative significance, fostering a dialogue between Beauty and Responsibility in every architectural intervention. He has contributed to education and research, teaching at IED Milan and serving as a tutor at the University of Bologna’s Department of Architecture. He has also published articles and co-supervised theses on sustainable architecture and energy efficiency. 
As a delegate for the Italian National Council of Architects (CNAPPC) in the EU-funded PROF/TRAC project, he has been an active promoter of collaborative models for the ecological transition. He founded networks such as Inizio Lavori, focused on energy retrofit in the Romagna region, and HappyWay Italia, which offers integrated technical-financial consulting and engineering design services for COemissions reduction and sustainable redevelopment. 
In 2017, he founded Pier Currà Architettura srl, now ranked among the top 200 architectural firms in Italy by turnover.
