Margherita Magnani, who approached athletics from childhood, when she preferred it to other proven sports, was twice Italian champion in the 3000 meters and still holds the overall Italian record in the 1000 meters indoors. Brilliant achievements that led her to the 2016 Rio Olympics, in which she competed in the 1500-meter race, but also to win prestigious international titles such as a silver medal in the 1500 meters at the 2015 World Military Games in South Korea, in which she participated as a member of the Fiamme Gialle, and a bronze medal at the Universiade in Kazan in 2013, also in the 1500 meters. A former national councilor of the current Italian Federation Of Athletics (FIDAL), in June, at the 76th General Assembly of the CISM (Conseil International du Sport Militaire), Margherita Magnani was elected president of the Athletics Sports Committee for the four-year period 2021-2025.
