Marco Tamberi

A former high jumper, Marco Tamberi was a finalist at the 1980 Moscow Olympics in his discipline, the high jump, and holder of two Italian indoor records. After seeing his own athletic career cut short too soon due to an accident, he now works in the publishing industry and trains his sons, through whom he successfully carries on the family passion for athletics: Gianluca, a former javelin throw champion and now in show business, and Gianmarco, who following in his father's footsteps this summer became an Olympic champion in Tokyo.
