   Campomaggi & Caterina Lucchi, GABS

Marco Campomaggi's journey in 1983 was a deliberate choice: to create objects that last over time and tell a unique and personal story. Campomaggi bags are not seasonal items; they are designed to be passed down from parents to children, gaining value over the years.

This lifestyle reflects a return to the essence, to dreams pursued with dedication and sacrifice, a search for personal taste, and a subtle, intimate luxury where excellence, raw materials, and creativity intertwine to create authentic beauty.

About 10 kilometers from Meldola, in the Forlì area of Emilia Romagna, right in the heart of Italy, you can find the small village of Teodorano perched on a hill.

“Teodorano, the place where I was born, was a village where everyone made by hand the things they needed: doors, shelves, the shawls of the ladies, and of course, passatelli and cappelletti. Watching the hands of all the inhabitants at work was a creative experience.”

This deep connection with his roots and territory is a distinctive mark that Marco Campomaggi brings to every piece. “Teodorano 25-02-1961,” the date and place of birth, his zodiac sign, and the drawing of the castle of Teodorano are the stylist's identity card and that of every product.

Marco Campomaggi and Caterina Lucchi started making their first bags while still students, sharing a passion, talent, and dedication to their work. From the street to a full-fledged business: first as a sole proprietorship in 1983, then as a limited partnership in 1986, followed by Campomaggi & Caterina Lucchi S.r.l. in 2005, and in 2015 transitioning to a joint-stock company.

Production is carried out 100% in Italy using all Made in Italy materials, with particular attention to the quality and excellence of raw materials, which becomes a source of pride and appreciation for the company and its brands, including Gabs, which was fully acquired in 2016, making Gabs the third brand in its portfolio.

Over more than 30 years, Campomaggi & Caterina Lucchi Spa has achieved numerous results in entrepreneurial, commercial, and stylistic aspects. The passion and enthusiasm, constant in Caterina and Marco's life and creative journey, daily renew their connection with their territory, where they have always operated with the goal, through the company's activities, to be advocates of its values and resources.

Made in Italy is not just a business strategy; it represents the choice to promote one's territory as a valuable resource for the entrepreneur, who opts not to outsource production and to rely on suppliers from their land, favoring local raw materials, with the aim of passing down an ancient tradition so that it does not remain the heritage of a few, but is available to every curious and open mind.

Sustainability and the quest for quality also pass through the place where work is done. Marco and Caterina have invested in creating a production facility that combines the beauty of the territory with the efficiency of harmonious and design-oriented internal spaces, capable of inspiring every phase of product development, from the creative idea to the sale, perfectly aligned with the company's values.
